Post: Principal Planning Officer | Grade: G/M4 | Location: Various District Councils
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post existing in various District Councils.
Post Title: Principal Planning Officer
Grade: G/M4
Salary: Within the range of G salary segment
Location: Various District Councils, Malawi
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience and Educational Qualifications:
Applicants must be Serving Planning Officers (Grade I/M6), Monitoring and Evaluation Officers (Grade I/M6) or Economists (Grade I/M6) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in local authorities and must be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (Economics), Development Studies, physical planning or its equivalent from accredited institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage the Council's data bank.Prepare project reports.Prepare quarterly, semi-annual output based reports.Monitor performance and progress of Council projects.Serve as Secretary to the Council Data Coordination Committee.
