We are thrilled to announce to you that due to expansion, we’re hiring more Mechanics to join our growing team. 1. Job description Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Maintenance Department: Maintenance Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Workshop Manager Job purpose To carry out servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of heavy-duty equipment, trucks and associated mechanical systems to ensure equipment reliability, safety and efficient operation. 2. Key duties and responsibilities * Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on heavy-duty equipment and trucks. * Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including Cummins engines. * Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems. * Conduct mechanical inspections to identify faults, wear and potential equipment failures. * Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings and electrical wiring diagrams when diagnosing faults. * Carry out engine overhauls, component replacements and other mechanical repairs as required. * Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, inspections and parts used. * Work on equipment and truck brands such as XCMG and Sinotruk/Sino Truck. * Follow company workshop procedures, occupational health and safety requirements, and the correct use of tools and personal protective equipment. * Work rotating day and night shifts and provide standby support when required. 3. Qualifications and experience Minimum qualifications * Grade 12 School Certificate. * Trade Test Certificate or Craft Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Automotive Engineering or a related mechanical field. * Additional training in diesel engine maintenance, particularly Cummins engines, will be an advantage. Work experience * Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic or technician working on heavy equipment and trucks. * Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, particularly Cummins engines. * Experience working on XCMG and Sinotruk/Sino Truck equipment will be an added advantage. * Experience in industrial, construction, mining or logistics equipment maintenance is desirable. 4. Other requirements * Good mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team. * Physically fit and capable of performing workshop duties. * Willingness to work rotating shifts and standby when required. * Good conduct and compliance with company rules and safety procedures. 5.
