CHOPPIES ZAMBIA — SILVEREST JOB VACANCIES Choppies Supermarkets is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Butchery Assistant to join our team at the Silverest branch. Job Role: Butchery Assistant Location: Silverest, Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Responsibilities: To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. Assist in cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Serve customers; weigh and package meat and give advice on preparation and cooking. Make sure work areas are kept clean at all times. Sharpen and clean knives and operate cutting machinery safely. Display produce in windows or refrigerated cabinets. Maintain cleanliness in the work area, assist with customer service, and ensure proper labeling and display of meat cuts in the store. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 Certificate). Butchery production certification. 1 to 2 years of experience in butchery production. Basic knowledge in butchery food preparation. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights. Candidate should be medically fit. Skills, Abilities & Required Attributes: Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stay calm and focused. Strong interpersonal skills. Supervisory skills – ability to train employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.
